While our main focus here is crystals and how to use them to heal, it is surely not the only way to find healing. As we have been focusing on the chakras recently, we will now look into some essential oils and herbs that are useful for the chakras. Of course, adding these herbs to whatever food consumed will help. It is also helpful to add the specific oil to a diffuser or oil warmer. If there is an incense that also matches the oil or herb, try lighting one during meditation, sleep, or when just inside the house. Where possible, the dried herb itself can be burned and gently inhaled or wafted over a chakra. Oils can also be rubbed directly on the chakra, it may need to be diluted with another oil, such as coconut oil.
Here’s a few specific ways herbs/oils are helpful in chakra healing.
Pink Lotus, for the crown chakra, brings enlightenment and allows us to make room for transformation.
Juniper, for the third eye, provides protection from evil spirits and purification of the mind.
Eucalyptus, for the throat chakra, heals on all levels as it cleanses and uplifts our energetic fields.
Cilantro, for the heart chakra, will add a healthy increase in passion and can be used in loved spells.
Grapefruit, for the solar plexus, will leave a refreshing and invigorating feeling within the spirit and aura.
Ylang ylang, for the sacral chakra, can enhance intuition and is a natural aphrodisiac.
Paprika, for the root chakra, is grounding and can help empaths release any energy from others, especially after performing healing work.
When using these for healing, pair them with crystals, affirmations, or healthy thoughts.
If these herbs or spices are not available, remember most sage, incense, palo santo, or other smudge tools can be just as helpful when the right intention is set. Always allow ample amounts of time for gradual changes to take place. Stay consistent in your journey and remember, healing is not linear.
